When I was a kid, I loved art class. Painting, drawing, pottery, you name it, I liked all of it. As the years passed, life didn’t leave much time for projects, but I recently rediscovered the joy of creating.
I have varied interests, so hence the name. Someday, I hope to learn how to make pottery. In the meantime, I’m making jewelry and wall art, and whatever else strikes my fancy.
I have to confess–sometimes I’m intimidated by *real* artists and crafters who seem to have creativity oozing from their fingertips. I’m not Martha Stewart or Monet. I just like to make pretty stuff.
On Scattered Fancies, I’ll share my projects, goals, and inspirations. I’m still afraid to call myself an artist, but I hope that writing about and showing my work here will push me farther. I also want to provide an example for others who want to make things, but don’t know where to start.
I have to finance my creative projects somehow, so I opened an Etsy store with this same name. Please take a moment to visit Scattered Fancies on Etsy, and help support me if you can!
